"Jesus STILL Sees You!" | Moments of Edification:
(View this video below.)
Be encouraged! God
already knew you would make that mistake, stray off of His will, backslide, and
so on, and before you even knew you would even consider it: Yet, God
STILL loves you and He STILL has a plan for your life! Don't believe the lies
of the enemy! It is not too late for you! You're about to find out just how
loving Jesus Christ truly is, as we examine His love for Simon Peter even after
knowing that he was about to deny even knowing Jesus, three times, after Jesus was taken for trial to be crucified! God and Jesus (along with the Holy
Spirit) are One: God is the same yesterday, today, and forever! You might have
fallen, but: “Jesus STILL Sees You!” Let God
get you back on track!
I love you all,
but God loves you BEST of all! May God bless you all! All glory to God!
Our Verses of
Focus:
28 “You have stayed with me in my time of trial. 29 And
just as my Father has granted me a Kingdom, I now grant you the right 30 to
eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. And you will sit on thrones, judging
the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you
like wheat. 32 But I have pleaded in prayer for
you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and
turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”
33 Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison with
you, and even to die with you.”
34 But Jesus said, “Peter, let me tell you
something. Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times
that you even know me.”
-Luke 22:28-34
"5 Ways to Stay on Track":
Sometimes, we get off track along the
way in our Christian walk: We get distracted. We make mistakes. We get
deceived. We stray off of God's will for our lives. We hurt people,
unintentionally and intentionally. We disobey God due to the desires of our
flesh and hearts. We even rebel against God's Word and God's instructions to
us. We backslide.
Is any of that right or good? No. Have
we lost God's love because of our blunders, sins, or straying from Him or His
will? We certainly have not! God is
so very forgiving, loving, and merciful! He gives us chances! He blesses us
with new beginnings! If we stray, because of His deep love for us, He will somehow go after us (Luke
15:3-7)!
God offers us instructions and advice to
guide us along the way in this life. Because of His love for us, God desires to
help us to stay on the right track, and also to get us back on the right track
when we fall off. God's love for you, your purpose in life, the fact that God
has a perfect plan for your life—this all
still remains! Let's go right into God's Word! Here are 5 Ways to Stay on Track!
1. Observe and filter your
personal life.
Having toxic people in your life can negatively affect you in various ways—spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and even health-wise. The presence of a toxic individual can also make you less productive for the LORD, as some people serve as spiritual distractions. Toxic people can influence you in negative ways, even subconsciously to where you are not even aware of their negative influence on you at first! A toxic person or crowd can cause delays and even a halt in your spiritual and personal growth, and also delays in your life.
1 Corinthians 15:33 says this:
33 Don’t be fooled by those who say such
things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”
While Jesus
has given us the commandment to love one another (John 13:34), He also wants us
to be wise about who we allow into our personal lives (this could affect our
spiritual lives).
2 Corinthians 6:14-15 says this:
14 Don’t team up with those who are
unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light
live with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be
between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an
unbeliever?
2. Have some alone time
with God in bible study and prayer to know God's will for your life.
For most decisions, especially life-changing decisions, it is best that we seek only God for our answers! Sometimes, listening to people can get you into trouble, even when they mean well. (I seek God for almost everything; and I only get personal with, allow myself to be comforted by, or ask advice from, people when God leads me to do so.) It is God Who has a will for our lives! It is God Who is all-knowing! It is God Who has all the answers! For the record, there is nothing wrong with seeking wise counsel and help from people—but please allow God to lead you to whom you should be speaking to, receiving advice from, and getting personal with!
John 16:13-15 gives these wonderful truths:
13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he
will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you
what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. 14 He
will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. 15 All
that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell
you whatever he receives from me.’
The Spirit of truth is the
Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God's own Spirit that He shares with His
children. Who better to seek answers from, than the One who holds our futures
and has a perfect will for our lives? God is awesome!
The world will say this to you: "Always follow your heart!" However,
God's Word tells us that we cannot even
be advised by our own hearts! Our hearts might be in alignment with God's will sometimes, but this is not the case all of the time. God Words gives us this
warning:
Jeremiah 17:9:
9 “The human
heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really
knows how bad it is?"
Lastly, there are just some things only God can teach us, no one else. For
example, Paul shared that he did not seek man, only God, so that he could do
God's will. (Read Galatians 1:11-24 for more.)
In Galatians 1:12, Paul shares this:
12 I received my message from no human
source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from
Jesus Christ.
3. Discipline yourself.
We should be working on disciplining ourselves: in the ways of the LORD, to prevent from falling into temptations, and so that we are able to fight temptations when we catch ourselves giving in. This is a broad topic. So, here are a few scripture that are sure to help us to discipline ourselves in every area of our lives.
1 Corinthians 9:23-27:
23 I do everything to
spread the Good News and share in its blessings.
24 Don’t you realize that in a race
everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! 25 All
athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will
fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 26 So
I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. 27 I
discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should.
Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be
disqualified.
Isaiah 26:3-4:
3 You will
keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
4 Trust in the Lord always,
for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
4 Trust in the Lord always,
for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
Ephesians 5:1-2:
1 Imitate
God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. 2 Live a
life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for
us, a pleasing aroma to God.
Romans 6:12-13:
12 Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in
to sinful desires. 13 Do not
let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead,
give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new
life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory
of God.
4. Make sure you are
seeking to please God over pleasing man.
When you seek to please God, follow the loving example of Jesus Christ, seek His perfect will and instructions, and are obedient to the Word of God and to the voice of the Holy Spirit—you can never go wrong. You cannot worry about what other people might think, say, or feel about you! As long as you are doing the will of the LORD, that is what is vital! Keep serving the LORD, and as He leads you to and with love. People's thoughts, assumptions, judgments, and feelings about you, should never take the place of what God thinks, knows, says, and feels about you! With a humble heart, meditate on this very wise thing that Paul says:
Galatians 1:10:
10 Obviously, I’m not trying to win the
approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be
Christ’s servant.
5. Be led by the Holy
Spirit in every area of life.
Always be led by the Holy Spirit in every area of your life! The Holy Spirit is our Guide, our Comforter, and our Advocate! Look at what the following verses tell us about the Holy Spirit and being led by Him!
Romans 8:26-28:
26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our
weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the
Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And
the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit
pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And
we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those
who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Galatians 5:16-17 and 19-25:
16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide
your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The
sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit
wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful
nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are
not free to carry out your good intentions.
19 When you follow the desires of your
sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful
pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility,
quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension,
division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and
other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone
living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
22 But the Holy Spirit produces this
kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control.
There is no law against these things!
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have
nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and
crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the
Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
Lastly, please careful: You cannot trust everybody who comes along
and says that they are a messenger of the LORD! It is so very important
that we get to know God and His voice for ourselves. God's Word warns us about false
prophets; and He instructs us on how we can identify them, how we should handle
them, and how we should handle ourselves in regards to them!
1 John 4:1-6:
1 Dear friends, do not believe everyone
who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they
have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. 2 This
is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a
prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person
has the Spirit of God. 3 But if someone claims to
be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not
from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is
coming into the world and indeed is already here.
4 But you belong to God, my dear
children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit
who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. 5 Those
people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the
world listens to them. 6 But we belong to God, and
those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not
listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the
spirit of deception.
Conclusion:
Know that you are here reading this for a reason and this is not by accident: Keep going, right toward the LORD! Let God use you, and let God be glorified! All glory to God, may you be blessed by what you have read! Peace be with you!
I love you all, but God loves you BEST
of all! may God bless you all!
