They Mocked Jesus, Too!

(Keep smiling, brothers and sisters! Keep going!)

They Mocked Jesus, Too!

They mocked Jesus, accused Him of being a sinner, said he got His power from Satan, beat and did more horrible things to Him, sentenced Him to death and crucified Him—but then, Jesus rose from the dead and proved He is who He says He is (our LORD and Savior, He is God)!

People did not take Noah seriously as he built the ark, and they carried on as usual—until the earth started to flood, and it was too late to enter the ark, and their safety was gone.

Year after year, Peninnah would taunt Hannah for not being blessed with children, and Hannah would be reduced to tears and would not even eat—until she prayed to our Heavenly Father . . . and she was blessed with a son . . . a child Peninnah did not know would one day be conceived (Glory to God).

Bottom Line:

As messengers for God, warriors for Jesus Christ, children of God, we must understand that there will be the following: mockers, naysayers, hurt people who hurt people, evil people and their words. There will be people who do not take God or us seriously. Some will be condescending, insulting, and disrespectful. However, WE MUST NOT allow anyone or the demons that are working through people, to cause us to give up on or run away from our purposes in life, our blessings, or the ministries God trusts us with. Let us remember the following:

10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

-Ephesians 6:10-17

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

-Philippians 4:13

Keep believing in God's promises! Keep pressing! Keep working for the LORD! Keep trusting God! God's got you! Keep smiling!
